Currently our Heathrow-based team is looking for Warehouse Supervisor.

Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor Airfreight

£32,000-35,000PA

Role and Responsibilities

· Responsibility for all freight arriving in warehouse

· Supervising forklift trained and certified staff unloading vehicles and re-loading vehicles safely and efficiently

· Preparation of freight for vendor collection and delivery to airlines or customers

· Preparation of freight in accordance with customs compliance and customer SOP, Regulated Agent compliance

· Completion of internal reporting and ensuring that all SOP operational requirements are completed

· Supervising warehouse staff at all times and achieving productivity targets and KPIs including where necessary weekend working by visits, telephone calls and reports

· Establishing work schedules and allocating tasks and responsibilities and checking for quality and completion

· Liaising with other department heads to address operational issues, improve working practices, solve problems.

· Identifying training requirements for warehouse staff and providing on the job training where required

EQUIPMENT

· Maintaining equipment to required standards, all daily and weekly checks performed

· Scanning and recording of all import items as required by the customer SOP, within company systems

· Full and complete recording of delivery documents via either hand-held scanners or documentary systems.

LOGISTICS AND HEALTH AND SAFETY

· Warehouse equipment including forklifts, pump trucks ad scales are maintained and monitored as per schedules to ensure safe operation

· Forklift and training certificates to be current and up-to date at all times

· Collectively with other members of team, responsible for all Health and Safety rules and practices within the operation for staff, visitors, drivers.

· Contributes to the overall site safety and codes of conduct

SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES

· Operates within the company WMS and understands the use, function and reporting

· Able to train new and temporary staff in company systems and scanning apparatus

· Works to refine processes and suggests improved routines

GENERAL

· Working together with other team members. other departments and external partners

· Work within the company rules (employee handbook) and code of conduct with particular regard to both internal and external communication

· Maintaining all rules on visitors, doors, freight as required for regulatory compliance

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
