W.H. Bowker was established in 1919 and remain a family-owned logistics operator. Providing over 1.5 million ft2 of warehousing across 12 strategically location distribution centre, the fleet consists of over 225 vehicles and 450 trailers.

About the site

Bowker’s new Thorne Distribution Centre Nr Doncaster consists of 31,000 pallet locations and offers high quality racked warehousing designed for multi-line order picking.

About the role

Opportunities have arisen in our warehouse operation. We are looking to grow the picking team, to assist in moving the business forward.

  • Case pick orders
  • Devanning containers
  • Using our own WMS to manage stock
  • Maintaining a high level of housekeeping
  • Restacking of pallets
  • Adhering to health and safety protocols
  • Communicating with team members and office staff

  • A positive and can-do attitude
  • Quick thinker and problem solver
  • Good communication and written skills
  • Ability to work within a team or on your own
  • Manual handling experience
  • A good attitude to work

Rates of pay, shift patterns & benefits

  • Monday – Friday / 7.5 hrs working day
  • Flexible between 06.00-16:00
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
