Job Title: Assistant Technician

Business Unit:Operations

Reports To: Purchasing & Logistics Technician

Purpose/Key Objective:

To perform warehouse duties, to include receiving deliveries and despatching orders, stock control and record keeping.

Safety Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) requirements:

· Complies with the Company and statutory requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act section 7 as well as the environment

· Co-operates in ensuring the health, safety and welfare of themselves, colleagues and visitors (e.g. customers, contractors) whilst at work

· Co-operates via communication, consultation and participation in the SHEQ management systems

· Co-operates in protecting resources by minimising energy usage, waste and emissions to benefit the planet.

Principal Accountabilities/Critical Objectives:

· FLT Driver

· Receive deliveries of goods and supplies

· Check for damaged or missing items

· Store goods

· Move stock around by hand, palletiser, or a forklift truck

· Pick, prepare and check orders

· Load goods

· Keep records of stock

· Keep paperwork up to date

· Clean work area

· Routine cleaning of warehouse floors on a weekly basis or as necessary

· Daily checking forklift equipment for faults or damage

· Ad hoc duties as required.

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:

· Counterbalance forklift qualification

· Desirable to have experience in a warehousing/factory role involving a continuous production line

· Equivalent of GCSE in English and Maths

· Aware of health and safety regulations

· Good organisation skills

· A methodical and tidy approach

· Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks

· Team player

· The ability to work quickly, accurately and safely.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £26,000.00 per year
