Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a Transport Controller to join us on a full-time, permanent basis on the day shift at our Europa Link, Sheffield site, working within Transport Operations for our customer Outokumpu Stainless (working hours Monday – Friday 0800 – 1700).

This growth role would suit someone with a passion for learning and development who wants to either progress or start a career within logistics.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £25,000. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.


What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Co-ordinate the transport operations on site at our customer premises to meet both customer and company expectations
  • Ensure vehicle defects are reported and actioned in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner
  • Build strong working relationships with all stakeholders (drivers, customers, management and wider XPO colleagues)


What you need to succeed at XPO:


  • Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders
  • Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail with a sound geographical knowledge of the UK
