This will see Jaguar Land Rover right-size, repurpose and reorganise into a more agile operation. The intent of the programme is to empower employees to create and deliver at speed and with clear purpose.This role sits in the Learning Academy and operates in an Agile methodology and mindset within the Capability and Technical Excellence team. This role is responsible to engage in and with ‘Squads‘ (Scrum Teams) for the creation and contracting of new technical skills / learning solutions to deliver requirements which will support and enable our business transformation across the enterprise. Solutions may be created in-house, leverage existing capabilities, engaging with internal subject matter experts and/or in conjunction with external providers.Key Accountabilities And ResponsibilitiesThis role has specific responsibilities in respect of supporting the development of complex statements of work for larger projects, as well as the clear specification of requirements for smaller projects with both new and established training providers. This role is responsible for executing the appropriate purchasing process, as well as monitoring completion of contract delivery against time and quality requirements.
  • Raising procurement shopping carts and preparing documentation for approval processes.
  • Confirm approval and sign off invoices for current live Purchase Orders
  • Supporting Academy Team with Purchasing queries and issues.
  • Monitor and track budget spend against plan.
  • Support the reporting to Finance on Apprenticeship Levy utilisation and transactions (Quarterly)
  • Place orders to support approved in-coming learning requests for established programmes.
  • Monitor, track and report on Training Provider performance/customer satisfaction aligned to contract and Statement of work deliverables. Liaise with external parties, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time.
What You’ll Need
  • Experience of working with external providers to deliver technical skills/learning solutions, including writing clear statements of work, identifying and supporting the selection of potential delivery partners – understanding typical cost profiles.
  • Experience in building business plans and contracts for technical skills / learning requirements and evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Passionate about the value of capability development and being able to identify the essential elements that are required for impact.
  • Able to apply previous experience and knowledge to new situations, research issues, create innovative solutions, and deliver a robust end product or service.
  • A good understanding of providers of technical training, and contracting formats.
  • Experience of working with multiple stake holders at all levels to build and deploy technical solutions. Confident to undertake conversations with subject matter experts and work in partnership.
  • Knowledgeable in Learning and Development methodologies (eg competency frameworks, learning needs analysis, adult learning pedagogy, approaches to assessment and evaluation).
  • A working knowledge of UK academic qualification levels (2 to 7)
  • Degree qualified or equivalent
