Senior Structural Engineer - up to 48,000 plus benefits - Derby. I am working with a multi-disciplinary consultancy who due to their increasing workload are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their busy & expanding team in Derby. The Senior Structural Engineer MUST be Chartered MICE or MIStructE or work towards this. The successful Structural Engineer must have previous experience of undertaking structural surveys The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Undertaking site surveys, preparing structural calculations and producing structural reports
  • Producing CAD drawings
  • Mentoring Graduate Engineers
  • Managing several projects at one time, projects would include commercial, industrial and residential designs.
  • Attending meetings Requirements:
  • Chartered MICE or MIStructE
  • Experienced with structural appraisal of both commercial structures and domestic housing stock.
  • Knowledge of regional geological conditions beneficial.
  • Design skills in a wide range of materials which must include a good design knowledge of concrete, masonry and steel.
  • A working knowledge of Fastrak Portals, Tedds, AutoCad & Revit
  • Be highly motivated with excellent communication skills
  • Have the ability to work under the minimum of supervision to tight deadlines
  • Track record of problem solving and project management
