Eco-1 is an ambitious Electrical Contracting Company based in Aldridge within the West Midlands.

Our range of work is across various sectors including Retail, Distribution / Logistics, Commercial, and public. Our primary services consist of full Electrical Installation projects including HV Systems, Mains Distribution, Generation, BMS, Lighting & Emergency Lighting, Small Power, EV charging, Solar PV, Security, Fire Alarm/Refuge, PA/VA, External Lighting and Lightning Protection.

Eco-1 works with main contractors and end clients including numerous key blue chip with longstanding relationships, our future intention is to offer the above services across 3 Business units:

Eco-1 Electrical Solutions - contracting projects from 100k to £3m
Eco-1 React - an Electrical maintenance and compliance business offering services to mainly end clients up to £1m
Eco-1 Energy - specifically focusing on carbon reduction mainly for end clients

About the role:

As we continue to develop and grow, Eco-1 recognise the importance of this role and are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join the Team. We seek to employ the best people and pride their successful growth based on excellent reputation and high levels of repeat business.

Duties and conditions:

Actively managing the supply of materials/services for projects to the agreed project timelines

Developing supplier relationships to ensure best value is achieved from suppliers, including price, delivery time and quality
Managing supplier rebates and settlements – actively pushing suppliers onto next thresholds
Subcontractor management including set up, approval and ongoing reviews
Subcontract Orders – Lead pre-start engagement and agree T&C’s
Development of day-to-day pricing booklet
Innovation/value engineering – Leading innovation within the business identifying latest technology including purchasing savings
Standardising technical literature for project documentation
Regular business updates relating to supply chain

Skills and experiences

Possess previous procurement experience and able to demonstrate added value
Strong negotiating skills as well as communication skills are essential
Proven history of cost down initiatives
Continuous improvement though purchasing processes
Can manage suppliers and achieve best value, including quality H&S and service
Be conversant with various purchasing and manufacturing systems
CIPs preferred
