Tasks
We have a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a team of production operators on a number of different assembly and test tasks. This includes making cable harnesses, assembling instrument panels, emissions units and garage check tools, loading software onto tablets and check tools and remanufacturing tachographs. The role also involves testing products following a detailed test procedure.

Duties include:
  • Following detailed work instructions to assemble parts
  • Follow work instructions to program tablets and check tools
  • Follow work instructions to test parts that have been produced
  • Operate machinery and use equipment in-line with work instructions
  • Picking of accessories and packaging of completed product as specified on bills of materials, and as technical specification. - To perform at standard productivity rates to achieve preset levels of output.
  • Ensure the quality of the parts that are produced by following these instructions and highlighting to the supervisor any quality concerns or work instruction changes and potential improvements - Carrying out standard quality checks, recording quality data, and taking appropriate action if results are outside technical and quality tolerances.
  • Follow all procedures and PPE requirements to ensure there is no risk to health and safety - Demonstrate a safe attitude to work
  • Keep the workbench clean and tidy following the principals of 5S - Maintain good housekeeping at all times throughout the production unit
  • Contribute to departmental projects and continuous improvement activity within the department
Qualifications
  • Reliable and hard-working, with the ability to focus on the task in hand, and to effectively communicate with colleagues.
  • Experience in a production and assembly manufacturing environment would be desirable.
