Since then, we have evolved to provide innovative solutions for iconic buildings and essential infrastructure.SPX Cooling are looking to recruit a Press Brake Operator to work in assembly on a permanent basis. This role is based in our UK division, which is near J6 of the M5 Worcester which is the operations and manufacturing centre for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).You will produce a variety of folded parts from component drawings using MS, G600 or stainless steel sheet material which have passed through a CNC Punch machine or that have been laser cut. You will also fold/bend items on a hydraulic Press Brakes.Main Duties of the Press Brake Operator:
  • Follow and adhere to company safe working practices and safe systems of work.
  • Carry out daily and weekly Machine maintenance checks
  • Bend / Fold parts in line with component drawing and production schedule
  • Program new parts in to the bend press.
  • Conduct process quality checks in line with the QMS.
  • Conduct tooling changes in line with the bend plan.
  • Prioritize workload and maintain highest quality of work whilst meeting tight deadlines.
  • Participate and contribute to Production Meetings as required.
  • Use of various hand tools, grinder, plasma cutter and measuring equipment
  • Prepare, identify and tag materials for Galvanizing by external sub-contractor and check returns from Galvanizer.
  • Maintain a high level of 5s at all times
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and raise ideas
  • Participate in BI-weekly safety and 5s walks
Skills required for the Press Brake Operator role:
  • Experience in use of CNC Press Brake both hydraulic and mechanical
  • Ability to read Bills of Materials and drawings and work with priority lists
  • Ability to work on own initiative and work as a team
