Sodexo are currently looking to add to our casual Marine Team at Bateaux London to deliver a world class guest experience. We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic and motivated Mates to join our team.

Job responsibilities

  • Undertaking various cleaning duties to a high standard and assisting in planned maintenance work including, but not limited to, checking main engines and aux generator filter cleaning
  • Assist with daily vessel engine and safety equipment checks ensuring any defects are reported
  • Completion of administration tasks in line with departmental processes and procedures
  • Follow instructions from the Captain for the safe navigation of vessels in line with regulations as set by the Marine Costal Authority and Port of London Authority
  • Greeting guests in a friendly, welcoming and efficient manner
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with all colleagues
  • Adhering to all health and safety procedures

The Ideal Candidate

Essential:

  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Basic numeracy
  • High standard of personal presentation
  • Basic knowledge of boat maintenance and engineering
  • Basic marine skills
  • Competent in First Aid and Fire awareness
  • Willingness to attend training courses where required

Desirable

  • Previous work experience within the marine industry.
