Job Title: IT Manager Location: PR9,Southport, Merseyside Salary: £37,500 to £45,000 (DOE) annual bonus structure company pension Hours: 40 "Your rehabilitation, our priority" is the basis on which Unite Professionals operate. Our core values of Client-Centred / Independence / Accountability / Drive acts as our corporate compass navigating us through an exciting phase of expansion and this is a new opportunity for a skilled and experienced IT Manager to join a commercial case management firm at our Southport office to lead the IT delivery and systems to 52 team members (mix of office and field based within the UK). The post holder will ensure that strategies, resources, governance structures, security, systems and infrastructure are maintained and continually improved to support increasing demands for digital information and data delivery. Whilst meeting the changing needs of the organisation and maximising the benefits of IT to support the strategic objectives of the organisation. The post holder will act as the authority on wide range of IT information and communications technologies and will be required to be a professional who can act in a hands-on as well as a strategic capacity as necessary. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • OFFICE 365 o Deep knowledge in Office 365 technologies with experience of the following: Exchange, SharePoint, One Drive for Business. Experience with Office 365 migrations and on-boarding activities
  • CLOUD BASED CASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM o Use SQL to interact with our database to extract required data through Navicat interface. Point of contact with third party supplier on all faults/enhancements. Interface with the business and developers to continue the improvement of the system. Lead on UAT & Database development budget
  • SECURITY o Manage/review IT policies & procedures for security, disaster recovery, protocols and standards. Lead on enabling the business to gain Cyber Essential Plus accreditation. Manage user registers and software permissions so that any external or internal risks of loss or corruption are minimised
  • BCP & RISK ASSESSMENT PROCEDURES o Lead on the testing of BCP procedures regularly to ensure satisfactory resiliency, and take remedial action if testing reveals omissions or areas of improvements. Lead on ensuring IT-related risk assessment procedures and mitigations are in place and adhered to by staff and external contractors
  • EDUCATIONAL & TRAINING o Lead on the data security training such as Phishing Simulation Training via third party with supplier. Provide training on issues pertaining to the provision of ICT services where needed, esp Office 365 & cloud based case management system and identify staff up-skill opportunities
  • LEADERSHIP o Take responsibility for monitoring IT information systems including the hardware, software & network plus take remedial action where necessary to ensure the smooth running of all IT services. Take responsibility for reporting faults to relevant third parties where necessary and follow up to ensure specific problems are corrected in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain effective internal communication with the Management Team and Directors and all clinical & administration information users. Work with the Management Team to ensure the IT delivery has a strong working interface with other related departments
  • OUTSOURCED MANAGEMENT: o Manage the relationship with external IT and system provider to ensure robust and effective systems are in place to meet business objectives. Negotiate, advise and engage external contractors to undertake IT related works including our software developers, Office 365 & Technicians, VPN & VOIP Telephony
  • UK-GDPR o Manage risk management arrangements for holding personal information and data, reporting any breaches, abuse or potential weakness in accordance with legal and statutory obligations. Acting as point of contact with all staff, clients, customers and stakeholder for UK-GRDP
  • COMPLIANCE o Coordinating, improving and streamlining quality procedures, through the creation and implementation of high-reaching quality assurance processes. Lead Quality Forum, implementing and managing Annual Quality Cycle of target setting, monitoring control and review which includes, customer / client Surveys, Quality Improvement Plans and External Quality Reviews, ensuring oversee robust compliance and auditing and validation of documents & policies. Support organisation with evidence to meet CCQ regulations and audit requirements.
  • GENERAL: o Manage domain name registration – manage registrations, zones, act as administrative point of contact, troubleshoot DNS problems. Take responsibility for monitoring expenditure against appropriate/allocated service budgets, identifying anticipated pressures and potential efficiency savings. Ensure that capital equipment guarantees and equipment maintenance contracts are recorded, kept up to date and regularly reviewed to ensure the cover provided meets the needs of the business in a cost-effective manner. Occasional travel to our Taunton office when required PERSON SPECIFICATION Technical skills / experience required: o Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required o ITIL 4 Managing Foundation certificate (desireable) o In-depth knowledge of Office 365 technologies with experience of the following: Exchange, SharePoint, One Drive for Business, Microsoft Teams, Manage Azure Active Directory, Windows Defender, Core Network and Infrastructure solutions o Knowledge of SQL o Experience of Navicat or other Database user interface software o Enterprise Mobility & Security
  • Intune MDM & MAM, AAD, Identity, Information Protection, Threat Protection, Cloud App Security o Microsoft Endpoint Manager
  • Configuration Manager Current Branch, Intune and Co-management Workloads, Windows as a Service o Recent technical working knowledge of some or all of the following: understanding of TCP/IP and popular networking topology’s, Windows 10, Windows Server 2016
  • Active Directory, Networks & VPN, Microsoft Office 365 and associated packages, Microsoft Teams, MS PowerBI, ESET or similar, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCPand Computer administration, Horizon / Gamma telephone system or similar, 3G/4G and WiFi, iPhone/iPad/Android o PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification (desirable) Personal skills/experience required: o Superb communication and interpersonal skills o Strong client-service "can-do" approach, patient to understand the business needs and willing to work with them in the most effective way to resolve queries, multitasking as necessary o Well organised, uses initiative, prioritises appropriately, applies self, shows attention to detail, manages own workload and meets deadlines o Ability to communicate and present complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, verbally and in written form. o Strong business awareness and experience of working within an expanding SME o Experience engaging with internal stakeholders to gather and advise on their requirements, with the ability to develop IT solutions to meet their needs o Excellent/proven administration skills o Good time keeping and attendance record o Intuitive at Sharing information and ideas o Accepts and follows instructions, listens, makes notes, questions appropriately, cooperates o Shows sound judgement and decision-making skills, acts within boundaries o Shows commitment, passion and enthusiasm o Is a respectful, reliable and supportive team player o Reflects the company culture o Experience working within a health or professional services organisation (desirable) This job was originally posted as
