About This Role

Our Corporate Units enable the business to create value for BT and its customers as efficiently and effectively as possible. All Corporate Units set direction and safeguard through their role in enterprise governance and enterprise management. The Corporate Units also undertake activities on behalf of the business to leverage economies of scale or share expertise through shared services or skill centres e.g. procurement, learning and development.

As a team that is continuing to evolve, the HR Business Partners are at the forefront of critical business transformations. This role is critical in driving people initiatives, providing partnering expertise, and driving functional excellence and process improvement. The role requires flexibility between strategic people and business guidance to driving day to day people agendas.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for accelerated personal and professional development. With focussed development and support from the broader Corporate Unit HRBP team, and a backdrop of continuous business development.

You’ll Have The Following Responsibilities
  • Building effective and strong relationships with HR leaders, acting as a sounding board and thought partner
  • Partners with the business to implement a range of effective HR solutions to support the overall BT People strategy
  • Delivers across a range of HR practices, such as reward, workforce planning, performance, talent, leadership development and employee relations
  • Works with leaders and teams to drive the Diversity and inclusion agenda
  • Partners with the Business & Corporate Unit Transformation team to drive relevant transformation programme
You’ll Have The Following Skills & Experience
  • Business Insight: You apply your understanding of competing commercial and people priorities to challenge the business and optimise performance. You use your knowledge of the unique environment in which our business operates to shape advice and decision making
  • Business Partnering: You establish working relationships with stakeholders and build a rapport to become a trusted advisor. You identify strategic issues and raise questions to help stakeholders explore and understand their wider business challenges. You recommend solutions to help them achieve their objectives
  • Compliance and risk mitigation: You teach others that it’s important to follow all internal and external regulatory and legal guidance. You provide consultation and advice to stakeholders to help them measure, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Policy and practice: You anticipate and recognise obstacles in policies and processes between teams. You make suggestions for ongoing improvements, facilitating relationships between teams.
  • Data Analytics: uses strong analytical skills and intuition to analyse data and interpret business insights and trends. Uses data to support decision making and develops the best solutions.
  • HR Mastery: strong technical HR knowledge and its practical application
  • Attention to detail and prioritisation skills
  • Adapatability: Ability to adapt style to varying audiences
