Healthcare Assistant - Pre-Assessment - Newcastle - £9.75 per hour

Our Pre assessment Clinic currently has an opportunity for a healthcare assistant. Start your journey with us whilst we’ll support you to be your best.

The opportunity

As our Healthcare Assistantyou will:
  • Assist the nurses with everyday tasks
  • Conduct face to face assessments with patients coming in for surgery
  • Act as a crucial part of the team within the Pre-assessment clinic.
  • Supporting nurses and anaesthetists with the administration of results and recording specific information
  • Be confident in specific clinical competances such as ecgs, phlebotomy and observations (desirable but not essential)
An NVQ qualification 2 or 3 or equivalent as well previous experience in a similar role within a health care environment would be desirable but is not essential , as training will be provided.

The person

To succeed as a Healthcare Assistant you will need:
  • To be confident and motivated person who enjoys a fast pace environment, be able to demonstrate good communication skills (both written and verbal) and show initiative in a challenging and interesting environment.
  • Organisational skills are essential as is a reasonable level of IT literacy.
  • Experience in this field or similar to.
  • An understanding of private healthcare and patient safety
  • To be able to work under pressure and part of a team.
  • To be kind and polite to all patients.
