About the Role
A motivated individual is required to undertake a new role to support Aon’s Global Head of Transportation & Logistics Strategy. They will be responsible for:
Providing strategic thought leadership, ensuring that our plans for Transportation & Logistics are aligned to Aon’s strategic objectives
Delivering on agreed strategic priorities
Helping to build an exciting new strategy and capabilities in a growing, dynamic and focused organisation

Major Accountabilities:
Work with the Global Head of T&L and other collaborators to develop Aon’s Transportation & Logistics strategy
Be / become a source of in-depth Transportation & Logistics expertise and provide SME input where appropriate to T&L initiatives
Represent the Global Head at internal and external meetings when required
Lead the planning and delivery of new Transportation & Logistics initiatives to support delivery of Aon’s strategy, including turning them into clear priorities and practical plans
Build positive relationships across Aon, globally
Work closely with and be the transportation & Logistics Advocate within ABS and CSD to ensure market leading customer and colleague experience.
Assist in ensuring alignment of the agenda with Aon’s global, regional and solution line objectives and initiatives
Assist in evaluating external capability / vendor solutions as Aon seeks to build its Transportation & Logistics capability
Constantly review priorities/progress against plans in the Transportation & Logistics space
Work with and collaborate closely with other Global Industry Specialties
Ad-hoc BAU requests and initiatives
Work together with Aon’s global marketing teams to articulate the message, and build the profile, of Aon’s Transportation & Logistics strategy

Experience delivering strategic change
Risk and People industry knowledge/experience – Aon’s business portfolio includes Insurance, Reinsurance, Investment and Pensions Consulting, and Health Solutions
Strong advisory/execution skills
Good analytical skills
Strong planning and organisational skills with ability to multi-task and respond to changing priorities – can demonstrate practical experience managing projects and/or leading change
Credible and influential at the ‘c-suite’ or senior levels - strong influencing and persuading skills with senior stakeholders
Outstanding Direct Report/Team Talent Leadership skill
Strong stakeholder management skills - ability to supervise, manage and influence a very broad stakeholder group – both inside and outside Aon
Ability to take concepts or ideas and to convert them into practical steps and plans
Good understanding of Aon and its environment
Ideally Transportation & Logistics expertise and ability to apply that knowledge practically in a business and investments context
A desire to continue to build depth of expertise and to stay at the forefront of the industry
Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to present sophisticated concepts or information in a digestible format
Effective problem-solving skills with an appreciation of the need for practical and pragmatic solutions
