Cable & Splicing Services (CASS) is a telecommunications contracting specialist business established for over 25 years in UK.

We are currently recruiting for experienced and accredited FTTP Installation Engineers for long term work in the Telford/Shrewsbury/Wem area.

As an Installation Engineer, you will deploy fibre installation services within customer premises, providing a best-in-class quality of service for our clients.

Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager and Field Support Manager, you will deliver a friendly, personable service at all times, as you will be dealing with members of the public in their homes and businesses.

We’re looking for someone who can….

  • Install fibre into customer premises, business and residential, including splicing
  • Assist the support team with troubleshooting techniques and queries
  • Liaise by phone with the project office team to organise pre-installations, installations and arrange service calls

  • Have fibre installation/splicing skills and experience
  • Have a good understanding of fibre terminology and be able to communicate this effectively to customers as well as colleagues within the business
  • Be well-presented and able to demonstrate a professional image as the face of the business
  • Be able to demonstrate empathy with customers and colleagues - personable and friendly
  • Be proactive and efficient, and willing to go the extra mile for customers
  • Have the willingness to work in all climates

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • SA001, SA002,S7,S8 or equivalent
  • IPAF 1b
  • NRSWA unit 2
  • Splicing and testing
  • K8 (Hand rodding in UG network)
  • SMART AWARDS
  • PIA experience desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience working at height from a ladder and cabling from up to 11m telegraph poles
  • Experience in lone working and health and safety requirements that are specific to working at height
  • Practical experience in a customer-facing role
  • Have a current driving license
  • Clear DBS

Salary: £120.00-£160.00 per day

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • FTTP Installation: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
  • Telecommunications Accreditation (preferred)

Work authorisation:

  • United Kingdom (preferred)
