About Us and The Role

Warwickshire has a fantastic fostering team. We recruit foster carers, assess them, take applicants to our virtual fostering panel and offer our Warwickshire foster carers training and support. We also have an SGO (Special Guardianship Order) support team and have a Fostering Placement Hub.

We are countywide and have links with Fostering Network to support us and our foster carers. We are fortunate to have a psychologist who is based in our team. In addition to this Warwickshire offers wide ranging training.

Our staff group is made up of fostering support workers and social workers. Our team is growing to match the needs of the children in Warwickshire. We are proud of our Fostering Team and if you join us you will see why.

For this post we are looking to recruit a Fostering Social Worker who will carry out thorough assessments where individuals or couples have applied to be foster carers to determine whether they meet the national standards required to become foster carers.

Following assessment, you will be attending Warwickshire Fostering Panel to present your report and support foster carers. Your role will also be to support foster carers in their ‘fostering journey’. You will support them by providing training alongside the assessment.

We prepare all our foster carers for the role and you will be part of a team to deliver this, alongside other relevant training courses. Your work will be child focused, analytical and based on safeguarding evidence.

We are looking for applications wishing to secure a permanent part-time 22.5 hours contract.
