What To Expect

This is an excellent position for an experienced Product Owner to be involved in the evolution and innovation of infotainment systems within our vehicles.

At Jaguar Land Rover we’re working hard to create entertaining, convenient, and seamlessly connected cars that fit perfectly into our customers’ lives all around the world. The Connected Infotainment team is integral to making that vision a reality, by leveraging technology stacks such as AWS, HTML5 and Node.js to bring to life features like media streaming and in-car payment services.

The Product Owner will play a key role in defining and executing the strategy and roadmap for applications and features within the vehicles. The Product Owner will be able to demonstrate a passion for engaging with stakeholders and show a strong sense of awareness in relation to the impact their decisions will have on end customers.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Product leadership for several customer-facing infotainment applications across multiple infotainment systems
• Balancing the need for innovative new apps and features with the need to maintain our existing products
• Proactively gathering inputs from stakeholders and customer data to feed into your roadmap and product decisions
• Working closely with the Connected Infotainment Environment product owner to ensure app development priorities align to the broader Connected Infotainment strategy
• Leading the development and presentation of quarterly proposals for your product roadmap, and getting agreement from senior leaders across the business
• Engaging with engineering teams across the business and with key suppliers to manage risk and coordinate complex inter-product deliveries

What You’ll Need

• Practical experience as a Product Owner, having successfully delivered at least one software product to market
• An appreciation of mobile and/or web application technologies
• An ability to prioritise the customer / end user and ensure their needs are met
• Ability to create a business case for a new/improved feature and ratify the business case with stakeholders
• Experience with tools and techniques used throughout the product ownership lifecycle
• Excellent collaborative skills and ability to mentor team members
• Ability to benchmark and create a class leading roadmap
