Professional Indemnity Underwriter

An established London Market MGA has a new opportunity to join their financial lines division as a Professional Indemnity Underwriter in this hybrid role combing technical underwriting and broker facing development on an initial 14 month contract. You will be home based ideally outside of London which will give you a unique opportunity to work in the London Insurance Market remotely.

As a Professional Indemnity Underwriter you will be responsible for managing a personal renewal portfolio whilst adhering to strategy and best practice standards of underwriting integrity, service and quality.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivery of new business toward a team new business target, written in line with appetite and guidelines.
• Attending external meeting/introductions to develop & maintain close working relationships with our brokers with tenacity, conviction and professionalism
• Building and maintaining a strong external reputation. Being a strong advocate for the brand.
• Underwriting of risks within authority and referral of risks outside of authority to senior members of the underwriting team.

To be considered you must have a good level of professional indemnity insurance experience however this can be from an underwriting or a broking background as long as you have the required level of technical competence. This role can be moulded to be a development opportunity for a less experienced individual or a good career move to a top insurer for an experienced individual.
