The Firm

Established in 1799, TWM Solicitors LLP is a leading South East law firm with approximately 220 people across offices in Surrey and SW London.

We are a full service firm - for private clients we are renowned for family law, residential property, tax planning, trusts, wealth management and wills and probate. For business clients we have teams dealing with the full range of corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution, employment and commercial property.

Purpose of the job

Working as part of the IT team, you will be working with the Senior IT Trainer in the delivery of IT training and support for the needs of the business, including remote and on-site training. You will be involved with designing and creating training material, as well as preparing and delivering a variety of training to all users. This will include firm-wide roll-outs, new starter induction training, as well as the continuing development of the firm’s users. The IT department supports the IT structure for the firm’s day to day business and the role will involve regular travel to our other offices based in Surrey and SW London.

Key Tasks, duties and quality standards

  • Provide training to all users on a variety of legal applications but not limited to Practice Evolve, Bighand, Isokon as well as GloCom (telephony), use of mobile technology, MS Office and 365, and cloud apps.
  • Design, organise, set up and deliver courses to meet the needs of all staff.
  • Deliver IT induction training to all new starters.
  • Provide ad-hoc training support to users via remote and on-site training.
  • Design, create and maintain training materials.
  • Work with the IT Team on co-coordinating and supporting IT projects, system roll-outs, also delivering any training requirements.
  • Assist with additional training administration.
  • Learn, test and monitor new system updates and changes.
  • Assist/manage the setup of new users, providing appropriate system access and permissions.
  • Assist/manage the archiving of users when they leave the firm.
  • Assist with managing the firm��s LMS.
  • Willingness to travel to the firm’s other regional sites in Surrey and South West London to set-up and deliver training when required.

Qualifications

A formal IT training qualification would be an advantage

  • Proven IT skills and experience of delivering training.
  • Ability to explain concepts and procedures in a business friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Office 365.
  • Knowledge of the Windows OS platform.
  • Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.
  • Ability to learn new applications to an advanced level.
  • An interest in developing into digital learning.
  • Ability to work in a team-orientated, collaborative environment.
  • Always demonstrate a professional and flexible approach to their work and colleagues.
  • A team player willing to assist in other areas the IT team, e.g. user support.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all stakeholders.

Desirable skills and abilities

  • Prior knowledge or experience in training of Practice Evolve or other legal practice management systems.
  • Experience in designing and creating lesson plans and training material.

Salary dependent on relevant experience.
