The Role


A new and exciting opportunity has become available to join our fantastic team as an IT Trainer within our expanding firm.


We are looking for an innovative and experienced trainer who has experience in either legal or professional services. The role is busy and challenging and the successful candidate should be confident at maintaining a consistent approach to training to ensure quality standards are achieved.


Duties


This role will include but is not limited to:


  • To create, design and deliver effective and engaging IT Training across all areas throughout the firm on all of the Firm’s software packages to include but not limited to SOS, iManage, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Zilpha etc
  • Working with the Learning and Development Manager to assist in the overall IT Training strategy for the firm
  • Create and design detailed training materials, such as training guides, e-learning modules, and videos.
  • Ensure all training content is always kept up to date and is accessible by all members of staff.
  • Monitor, assess and evaluate all training carried out.
  • Support the Learning and Development Manager to proficiently plan and roll out all new system release training.
  • Liaise with the in-house software development team and IT Helpdesk to ensure up to date knowledge and understanding of any proposed key system changes.
  • Ensure training records for all staff are kept up to date and logged relevantly.
  • Identify future IT learning requirements within departments and/or the firm.
  • Measure understanding and learning using pre and post training assessments.
  • Assist the Learning and Development Manager in creating schedules for continuous IT training for the firm, departments, and individuals.
  • Maintain and update the Learning Management System.
  • Conduct regular reviews of induction training requirements with the assistance of the Learning and Development Manager.


Skills


We are accepting applications from individuals who:


  • At least 3 years of training experience, preferably within a law firm - full training will be provided on the Firm’s software systems, knowledge of which is not essential but an advantage;
  • Fundamental understanding of Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365 is essential and CMS software systems an advantage;
  • Knowledge and understanding of current and proven types of training delivery and methods of learning;
  • Ability to train staff on existing and new systems and processes;
  • Have excellent Interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledge of the Legal sector (desirable) and;
  • A full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle essential.
