Are you currently working as a Systems Officer in a warehouse or help desk environment? Are you confident with excel and systems, and able to effectively problem solve on a case-by-case basis? Are you looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced e-Commerce or logistics-focused operation? Then read on, as this role is for you.


We have been successfully awarded a new contract with the large blue chip online retailer, ASOS, and will be opening a new purpose built fulfilment centre in Lichfield. The site will be over 400,000 sq ft and we are looking for full time permanent IT System Officers to provide first line systems support in the fulfilment centre.


You’ll be working an any 5 from 7 shift pattern on either a fixed day shift (08:00 - 16:00) or a fixed late shift (16:00 - 00:00). There will be no rotating shift pattern for this role. Pay, benefits and more:


We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £23,288 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday, as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.


What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • To ensure that the systems (hardware & software) are running smoothly and any issues with the systems are resolved in the quickest time possible
  • Provide first-line support for IT hardware, software, network, and operating system issues
  • Ensure environmental and health and safety requirements are met through compliance with H&S policies and procedures
  • Deliver timely and excellent customer service/ end-user experience


What you need to succeed at XPO:


  • Strong IT knowledge and capability, gained in a warehouse or help desk environment would be an advantage
  • The ability to work individually and be able to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Need to be a problem solver, able to analyse the issue, look for the potential ramifications, and how to resolve it most effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
