IT Support Technician - Hull

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 depending on experience

An exciting opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join our team in Hull to assist with support across Yorkshire and the UK. We are looking for a high performing and talented individual providing IT support to our customers with regards to IT hardware, applications and network/telephone systems.

Key aspects of the IT Support Technician role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing technical support for a range of external and internal applications, operating systems and hardware and achieve customer SLA’s
  • Co-ordination and allocation of upgrade equipment to office staff and customers
  • Installation, replacement, setup and build of new equipment
  • Resolve equipment issues and faults over the telephone and in person
  • Maintaining IT procedures and documentation
  • Carry out systems checks, solve problems, monitor and escalate if necessary
  • Supporting/maintenance, installation and upgrades of: Multiple Server platforms, Workstations, Desktop software applications, Internet connections, Network & Phone cabling, MS Software solutions, Communication systems, Integration systems, Backups, Printers, Phone systems

Required experience & knowledge of the IT Support Technician must include:

  • Working in a support function in an IT environment
  • Excellent all round communication skills to all levels
  • Exceptional customer service skills in all circumstances
  • To be a problem solver and capable of gathering relevant data and identifying the potential improvements and alternatives in a logical manner
  • Works well under pressure and self-motivated
  • Excellent fault finding skills
  • In depth knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Office 365
  • Knowledge of Active Directory
  • Knowledge of network and VPN support
  • Experience with remote support
  • Hardware fault finding experience
  • Must have a full UK driving licence

Desired experience & knowledge of the IT Support Technician includes (all experience will be considered):

  • Experience with Office 365 setup, configuration and support
  • Experience with 3CX phone system setup & support
  • Knowledge of remote desktop support
  • Knowledge of Hyper V
  • Knowledge of firewalls
  • Experience with LANs, WANs & Internet Technologies

This is a varied role with other opportunities if interested including:

  • CCTV System support and setup
  • Door Entry Systems support and setup
  • Data Cabling

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Kingston upon Hull: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
