Role purpose

The Service Engineering team offer 1st and 2nd line support for all ISG offices and project sites. Service Engineers work as part of the Service Engineering team to provide first and second line support functions across all office and project site locations. The job holder will liaise and work with the Service Engineering Team Leader to deliver support to the business in order to win work and deliver projects.

Key accountabilities

Embrace a culture of continued improvement and quality
Ensure that any technical and procedural changes provided by the Service Desk and the IT Support team are followed, working to best practice methodology
Escalate incidents which are beyond Support Team’s capability.
Escalate any major incidents immediately using the major incident process flow
Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot end user hardware and software, networked peripheral devices as well as networking software products In line with Group IT best practice encompassing standard and non-standard hardware and software policy and procedure
To preserve the security of company systems and data
Follow business protocols and keep up to date records
Maintain Group IT Service Levels and work towards improved targets.
Present a good image of Group IT at all times and be a role model for the IT Service Engineering Team
Make technical recommendations to IT Service Engineering Manager to enhance service delivery

Skills & experience

Experience in a customer IT support environment
Experience of 1st / 2nd line technical support
Strong customer focus and build a culture of excellent customer service

Qualifications

ITIL V3
CSCS
HND or above in Computing
