We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Engineer apprentice at Cloud Design box. You will be based at the office in the awesome C4DI building, the tech centre of Hull, with world class facilities and there are plenty of events to learn and grow through the community. Surrounded by a talented community of digital start-ups within C4DI, they are an exciting new business, and your job will be to help them grow (and have fun along the way).

You will be joining the team to help remotely install and support the range of SharePoint MIS integration products into schools. The main products you will be working with are our range of integration products, linking the school MIS to SharePoint and Office 365.

Work is conducted from our office in Hull, although some occasional travel and hotel stay may be needed to meet as a team and best support customers.

Typical duties will include;

  • Remotely supporting customers
  • Analysing data and manipulating it through workflows
  • Taking calls on the support desk
  • Problem solving server and software issues
  • Creating video tutorials
  • Contact customers and colleagues via phone, Teams and email.

What we’re looking for:

  • Excellent IT knowledge
  • Strong telephone manner
  • Has an excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Passionate about IT

The successful candidate will work towards a Level 3 ICT Apprenticeship with the appointed provider, HBTC (www.hbtc.co.uk). An Apprenticeship allows you to acquire valuable skills and experience in your chosen sector, which improves your CV and employability when you’ve finished training. You’ll learn in the work environment, developing the practical skills and understanding you need to excel in your role. This opportunity could also lead to permanent employment and progression opportunities.
