About us


You’ll be joining the System Administration team, that are a vital cog of the IT Services. System Admin is under the umbrella of the Technical Services team, that support all systems, networks and applications for the whole council. We work together to make sure our customers have access to all the services they require in an efficient and secure manner. The Technical services team is large but very friendly and look to help each other out whenever needed, everyone is happy to answer any question you may have.


It’s an exciting team with lots of different areas to be working on, and working with various teams and people.


About the role


You’ll be a vital part of the System Admin group that will create and modify various users and groups in our domain. You will also work with PowerShell scripting that helps the enablement of fast batch jobs. You would also have involvement our license management within the council.


Also we’d give you a chance to work with the Technical Services Team as a whole on projects and BAU tasks. With the chance to learn about software packaging, and advancements around scripting.


About you


We are looking for a System Administrator to join the team, with an enthusiasm for hard work, competing priorities and being a team player.


Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of teams and users.


Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
