Our client is a well-established, forward thinking manufacturer based in Grimsby. Due to the expansion and forward-thinking direction of the group they are looking to recruit An ICT Support Administrator.
The purpose of this role is to be first line support for all ICT related incidents/problems and perform administrative tasks within the ICT department.
Job Duties:
· Undertake initial first level troubleshooting of all ICT issues, both hardware and software, and to resolve where possible
· Record all ICT support issues and resolutions via the Support Desk system
· Assist in maintaining robust, reliable, efficient telecommunication and computer-based systems
· Assist with ensuring a professional, proactive ICT service that achieves its business objectives in the most cost-effective way in-line with the ICT Strategy and Technical Vision
· To ensure ICT hardware and software assets are identified, recorded and kept up to date
· Liaise with support vendors where hardware / software support agreements are in place
· Carry out regular "housekeeping" tasks including anti-virus/malware updates etc
· Carry out daily administration of Purchase Orders, Warranty Returns, Deliveries and other paperwork/tasks including filing pertaining to the running of the department
· Maintain the company’s software licensing database
· Ensuring all software is properly licensed using approved auditing & reporting tools
· Provide input into the overall ICT strategy and provide feedback from end-users
· Keep abreast of ICT technology, maintain library of information and attend training courses
· To work within government and company equal opportunities and health and safety policy and practices and report any deviations
· To be flexible in undertaking duties and responsibilities
Requirements:
· Good practical knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office systems and Software
· Ability to multi-task, innovate, learn new skills and think outside the box
· Ability to work under one’s own initiative and as part of a team
· Ability to manage change effectively and work on own initiative
· Able to work to prescribed deadlines with accurate attention to detail
· Self-Motivated and able to function as an effective team member
