An exciting opportunity exists for a Scrum Master within our IT Department. Who are we looking for? A Scrum Master who is a team player and is passionate about Agile, championing change to deliver value. The IT function is mid-transformation and the ERP team have a considerable backlog to deliver. Stakeholders and team members alike are relatively new to Agile delivery, so the successful candidate needs to be a competent, supportive coach to introduce the concepts, processes and the Agile routines/vocabulary. Work content will deliver product increments around integrations, engineering functionality and production/operational efficiency. This role will be expected to work on-site with a multi-disciplinary team to apply appropriate governance and structure to existing backlogs so that grooming, story point estimating etc. will underpin the execution of sprints. Continuous improvement is fundamental to this position so actively identifying and implementing system and process improvements based on performance metrics and stakeholder feedback is a given. You will be an advocate of Agile development methodologies and will be happy to champion the virtues of Agile throughout the wider business. To be successful in this role, strong stakeholder management skills are essential, along with the ability to flex your communications style relevant to your audience (C-suite to shop floor). A close working relationship will need to be built with internal champions, as well as integration partners and suppliers who exist within the technical, enterprise eco-system. Skills and knowledge required Proven expertise in defining & adopting new processes based on agile working and use Agile/Lean methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage and deliver solutions. Competent in configuring and managing tools and technologies related to daily team interactions (including kanban boards, backlog management, KPIs etc.) Experience in training, mentoring, and supporting Scrum teams to follow Agile values, principles, and practices. Successful track record of managing and delivering both software and infrastructure related projects A recognised Scrum Master certification would be advantageous e.g. CSM, PSM I, SSM Effective communication skills including workshop facilitation, presentations and leading discussions with all levels of the business. The ability to effectively manage stakeholders at all levels is crucial for this role.
