IT Project Manager

For the extension of ourUKteam, we are looking for a ITProject Manager.

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of the design, testing and deployment elements of the project. You are the center point of contact between our delivery teams and client. You’ll be involved in the full cycle of the project. The project is based in Leeds, you’ll be required to be on-site for 1 or 2 days a week. The role is initially for 6 months, there is a good chance on extension.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
• Delegate project tasks where appropriate
• Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals
• Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
• Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
• Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organisation outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

Strengths & Qualifications

Essential

• Project Management experience - IT migration projects
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a Related Field
• Prince 2 qualified (or equivalent)
• Project Management experience

Desirable

• Microsoft Azure Experience
