Permanent Contract
Location: Flexible, Head Office is in Quorum Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne
37 hours per week
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum dependant on experience

A bit about the opportunity, our team and you…*

We are excited to be looking for an IT Operations Managerin our Group IT Team.

This role, working closely with the Head of Technology & Information Security, Software Delivery Manager, and Information Security Manager will deliver on the requirements of the IT Operations area of the business, namely Infrastructure, Service Desk and Application Support. It will ensure that we continue to deliver and adhere to the defined Service Levels Agreements relating to IT/Technology Services and project deliveries and perform proactive optimisations on existing systems and platforms.

This role requires exceptional leadership qualities, keeping the teams motivated, focused, and engaged in making the lives of our colleagues, and ultimately our learners, easier and efficient, through their technology consumption. As well as monitoring and analysing budget elements in order to provide value and be an accountable owner in terms of 3rd party organisations collaboratively working with us. This role will need to continue and improve on the high performing culture of the IT Operations area, through a coaching and mentoring approach.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • exceptional leadership and management skills
  • proven experience of developing and delivering against operational improvements proactively
  • development and management of robust disaster recovery plans
  • educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • the ability to co-ordinate multiple project streams
  • budget management experience
  • understanding of ISO standards and audit
