Job content

We are “at the heart of IT” for all our customers, providing them with round the clock reassurance that their IT is safe, resilient and in good health.

Our IT Ops Centre is at the core of this service, ensuring that we’re always keeping a close eye on client’s critical systems. As our IT Ops Technician, you will be remotely supporting and managing their infrastructure, fixing their issues (and preventing them from happening again) and reporting on this to our customers.

Your job is to be proactive, professional and friendly with all interactions with clients and working across all technical teams to improve our automated offering.

IT Operations Executive Responsibilities
  • Carry out remote management checks as part of our totalIT service and produce careful reports for our managed service clients that reassure of the security of their IT estate.
  • Work closely with the Support department to improve the handling of automated tickets.
  • Assist in the rollout and management of totalIT agents across our client base.
  • Work with colleagues on client specific development or automation opportunities.
  • Assist our remote support team with support requests that could be managed more efficiently using automation.
  • Manage and deal with network monitoring tickets before they have an impact for our clients.
  • Respond to problems and alerts in a timely fashion.
IT Operations Executive Requirements

What’s really important to us;
  • The ability to be self-motivated and highly organised.
  • A beady eye when it comes to details.
  • The ability to be logical and solve problems with grit and determination.
  • A desire to develop your own skill set at any given opportunity.
  • Experience of working in a professional IT team or service provider.
  • The ability to keep it simple – no one’s impressed with jargon that only serves to belittle the end user.
  • Experience of dealing with a wide range of tech products, from PCs to servers, printers to firewalls, operating systems to security software.
  • The ability to remain calm and to make clients feel that they are the most important person on the planet!
The icing on the cake;
  • Experience with remote network management tools and incident management tools.
  • Tech certifications in Microsoft Server, Office 365, VMWare or Veeam.
