ONYX InSight is a global technology and engineering organisation in the renewable energy sector. Our SaaS, AI and advanced sensor solutions are deployed on thousands of wind turbines globally. We are wholly owned by the BP group and proud to be supporting their transition to renewable energy.

Headquartered in the UK, we currently have offices in the USA, Korea, Australia and India, with plans to add additional international locations. In anticipation of continued expansion, we are now seeking an IT Manager to lead our business systems and infrastructure strategy through this growth period.

You will ensure that our cyber security, resilience and risk management processes are robust, and that our investment in infrastructure and systems is aligned to our growth strategy in key markets around the world. Working in a standalone role through outsourced providers, you will also ensure that our colleagues receive a high standard of user experience, and that the interface with BP is effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure, security & operations

• Network infrastructure operations, security and resilience
• Risk management and business continuity
• Data assurance and management of providers (eg Microsoft Azure/O365/ AWS)
• Cyber-security process governance/assurance[MB1]
• Connectivity and integration of existing locations
• File structures to enable global networking
• Establishment and set-up of new locations
• Specification, budget management and procurement

Applications, systems & service delivery

• Performance management and quality assurance for 3rd party MSP relationship
• ERP (Dynamics) and CRM (Salesforce) partner/vendor performance management
• Systems availability and user support service quality
• Effective and secure onboarding and offboarding of users and training/orientation
• High level business process design and systems alignment
• Experience operating business intelligence applications (i.e. PowerBI, Crystal reports)

Person Specification

Behavioural

• Ability to operate strategically and take a hands-on approach to issue resolution
• A flexible and collaborative approach to working with colleagues and stakeholders
• Experience of delivering support to a growing global user community
• Solid procurement/budget and partner performance management skills
• Experience in a standalone role working with third party partners
• Experience within high growth environments helpful; SME experience preferred
• Knowledge of Salesforce CRM software
• Cyber security experience
• Ability to travel globally
• Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions.
• Experience of supporting sales and marketing conferences and exhibitions
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or - related field; or equivalent work experience

Technical

• Experience with O365, MDM, Azure AD, Intune and SharePoint administration.
• Centralised management of IT assets, patching and updates, backups and disaster recovery.
• Microsoft Server 2016, 2019 adminstration.
• Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration and common security elements.
• Experience analysing logs, network data (e.g. Netflow), and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations.
• Performing periodic security assessments for existing environments – this includes but not limited to applications, systems/servers, network infrastructure, database and other technologies and processes.
