IT Manager - Nuneaton

£45,000 - £55,000 + Pension + Healthcare + Bonus + 28 days Holiday (+ Bank Holidays)

We are working with a client who has a great "Employee-centric" culture. Due to some restructuring of responsibilities they now require an experienced IT Manager to assume full responsibility for all matters relating to the delivery of first-class support to the business.

As an experienced IT Manager, your key accountability will be to structure and operate efficient systems tailored to specific business needs and in line with corporate guidelines. Along with a supporting IT Technician, it will be your responsibility to ensure the continuity and required performance of the IT and Server infrastructure, network and communication systems and facilitate any necessary upgrades/updates.

Specific tasks include

  • Design, implementation and maintenance of all IT and Telecommunications systems for the UK, utilising the support of the European Parent teams where applicable
  • Monitoring application service plans to monitor and maintain the environment
  • Application insight monitoring to identify faults in the environment and any application issues
  • Log analysis to allow for deeper investigations into environmental issues
  • Subscription management, including usage for reservation management
  • Firewall control and analysis, including monitoring for new CVE’s for possible new breach techniques.
  • Assist in the development migration of the classic server-based system into an IaaS based Azure environment.
  • Optimise the performance of the IT, server, network and telecommunication systems to ensure delivery of exceptional service, efficiency/costs and security
  • Provide analysis of the technical scenario, resource evaluation, timing and costs of IT development targets.
  • Act as a project lead for technical infrastructure plans with accountability for timing, costs, results and impacts.
  • Contribute ideas, plans and solutions for digitization projects in line with Group guidance.
  • Ensure all corporate security and governance policies are adhered to, advising groups where adherence is not possible
  • Support the Senior software engineers in the development of new products
To be considered for this opportunity our client is looking for or the following experience/attributes:

  • A min of 5 years experience of working as an IT Infrastructure Manager
  • Degree in a computer science subject
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure systems
  • Strong window server skills for user control
  • Experience in service delivery in Global organisations
  • Strong technical and architectural expert knowledge
  • Knowledge of IT Service management frameworks (for example - ITIL)
  • Understanding of IT Information Security Management based ISO 27000 series
