As a result of organisational growth and ongoing investment into our software, systems and hardware and security we are now seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our small and professional team. Our organisation is focused on helping UK industry develop sustainable automotive technologies. You will look after external suppliers of our IT solutions and deliver solutions that enable our organisation to continue to maximize efficiencies and develop our potential.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the IT infrastructure supports the business requirement.
  • Manage external IT support contracts and services
  • Identify and propose a pipeline of IT business improvements.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for IT issues with external providers.
  • Project management – scope/plan/deliver IT projects to agreed timescales/budgets
  • Support applications and databases (e.g. Dynamics CRM, SQL Server, Office 365, Sage, etc.)
  • Coordinate hardware procurement, maintain asset registers, support starters/leavers.
  • Manage cyber security risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience in related field
  • Experience in information technology space and solving various software and hardware problems
  • Strong technical problem solving and communication skills
  • Experience of managing and maintaining IT systems.
  • Able to implement new IT systems
  • IT change project management experience
  • Budget and resource management capability.
