Your Role And Responsibilities
As an IT Management Resiliency Enterprise Architect Consultant, you will support Kyndryl’s consistent growth by bringing to the practice your enterprise technology resiliency knowledge and experience focused on technology architectural design consulting all built from your experience from your “hands-on” project execution. Reporting to a Sr. Manager and Practice Lead and being a resiliency technical architectural member of the global resiliency team, the IT Management Resiliency Enterprise Architect Consultant will create the detailed enterprise technology architectural designs and work products to facilitate the build and implementation of a resilience strategy solution. You will develop the design specifications for selected strategy, including facilities, hardware, software, network, staffing, governance and management requirements to include costing and finally, design the implementation plan specifically for the desired solution.

The IT Management Resiliency Enterprise Architect Consultant will contribute to the development and delivery of consulting solutions based on first-hand recent experiences. S/he will understand the enterprise technical design challenges faced by clients, the technology, the alternatives, and the remedy approach to best fit the resiliency architectural design requirements. In executing a consulting engagement, you will perform resiliency consulting technical architectural duties for :
  • Resiliency Strategy and Vision for the “always on” model
  • Organization resiliency for keeping pace with organization changes
  • Process resiliency for orchestration and business process availability
  • Application resiliency for the “active-active” uptime of systems
  • Data resiliency for the protection and availability of corporate data
  • IT Infra resiliency for recovery, BC, DR, HA and
  • Facility resiliency for prime and alternative work areas.

Your Role and Responsibilities

The IT Management Resiliency Enterprise Architect Consultant you will support IBM’s consistent growth plan by bringing in your experience and expertise in IT Management Consulting and specifically in the enterprise technology architecture for Resiliency, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery areas.

The IT Management Resiliency Enterprise Architect Consultant, as a subject matter expert, you will develop multiple conceptual design solutions that link business and IT objectives with estimated costs, implementation effort, and maintenance steps to allow the customer to choose the best comprehensive enterprise resilience strategy. Recommend a cost-effective option that balances risk mitigation and cost as it integrates continuity, availability, security, and recovery competencies into one resilience strategy.

The IT Management Resiliency Enterprise Architect Consultant will independently or as part of a consulting team, perform the consulting solution, create the consulting resiliency deliverables, and achieve the project outcomes while communicating the project success resulting in high client satisfaction.

The IT Management Resiliency Enterprise Architect Consultant will support and collaborate with the practice lead resiliency consultants to:
  • Perform a risk and vulnerability assessments
  • Perform business impact analysis
  • Perform recoverability assessments
  • Perform Availability Assessment

Finally, the IT Management Resiliency Enterprise Architect Consultant will be perceived as the trusted advisor and brand expert for enterprise resiliency architecture services within the IBM Canadian, Americas and global Resiliency consulting practices. This requires your continued skill and expertise proactive growth to keep pace with resiliency principles, technologies, and evolving best practices.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
  • 7+ years of progressive post-graduate IT and resiliency architecture consulting experience
  • Consulting fundamentals skills
  • Extensive experience and knowledge with resiliency related issues, impacts, trends and emerging practices to address the 8-resiliency implementation and orchestration topics (Strategy/Vision, Organization, Process, Applications, Data, Infra and Facilities)
  • Applied Linux, Unix, midrange, database, Wintel & VM detail resiliency design architecting skills
  • Applied Network resiliency design architecting skills
  • Applied Cloud resiliency design architecting skills
  • Applied Cyber Security resiliency design architecting skills
  • Applied ability to validate your design architecture using prototype or automate recovery evaluation from a test DR/Cyber event
  • Applied Experience in architecting and supporting Disaster Recovery simulations
  • Ability to articulate and incorporate key technologies’ impact on architectural designs for security, availability, cost, capacity, transformation, risk, business enablement and transformation objectives
  • Ability to evaluate risk/merit to make recommendations on available and speculative information
  • Bilingual (English & French)

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
  • Resiliency experience with architecting a QRadar suite build design
  • Resiliency experience with architecting a Resiliency Orchestration suite
  • Experience in Enterprise Automation strategies and principles to aid in testing and simulation events
  • Experience and success supporting business development and opportunity closure for complex, multi-month resiliency planning and execution programs
  • Experience and success performing in a consulting delivery oversight role, providing leadership and direction in areas such as program start-up and governance, executive communications, and problem resolution
