The IT Infrastructure Engineer will take responsibility for the management and support of the Business’s IT Ecosystems, including Servers, Virtualization, Networking and Cloud ecosystems.

The IT Infrastructure Engineer will also be responsible for working with third party support teams and be involved in the implementation of new technologies as required. The job combines aligning the IT Infrastructure with Business requirements and focuses delivery needs to support IT operations. This consists of both external and internal hosted, user workplace, printing, and networks ecosystems. The IT Infrastructure Engineer will also contribute to the delivery of infrastructure associated with project demand as required.

About The Role

The role is accountable for the IT Infrastructure, act as a point of contact and escalation for IT Infrastructure enquiries as required.

The role supports the IT Infrastructure Team Lead in establishing a strategic IT Infrastructure Plan and Roadmap aligned with Business requirements. Identifying technology refresh and replacement initiatives as necessary,

Responsibility for maintaining optimal performance of the IT Infrastructure services ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreement.

Accountability for supporting the IT Infrastructure Team Lead for maintaining a Service Improvement Programme (SIP) ensuring that all incidents are investigated and satisfactorily resolved. Work with other departments and teams on problem solving where required and to completion.

What We Are Looking For

Extensive Knowledge of IT Infrastructure Desktop and Server Ecosystems, Network, Storage and Servers.

Strong technical background in Windows Server, VMware, Cloud Technologies, Azure, SolarWinds and SAN Storage

Extensive knowledge of Windows Server and Linux OS

Knowledge of the business strategies and supported systems of the business.

Terms and conditions

This role will operate on a Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm basis.

There is some flexibility in working times if required.
