Overview: The Helpdesk Team is responsible for supporting and developing the firm’s systems as a whole. The systems vary from in-house to Microsoft 365 ranging from Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012 based with Windows 10 workstations running Microsoft Office 2016.

We are now recruiting a Helpdesk Engineer who will be based in the Cheltenham office with an option of flexible working.
Responsibilities: You will provide 1st line user support to BW staff via a helpdesk and will handle general calls from the IT Helpline, troubleshooting all incoming queries received. You will undertake general Active Directory (AD)/Email Administration when required, escalating IT issues to the 2nd/3rd Line Support Teams where necessary. You will provide assistance and support to colleagues in all IT related matters. You will be required to carry out fault finding to laptops and desktops. You’ll also be responsible for inventory management. You’ll review and create purchase requisitions for IT hardware/software and ensure that licensing for all software purchased is recorded and maintained.
Qualifications: You will have previous experience in a Helpdesk/Service Desk role (ITIL 3 or 4) and be MCP qualified (or willing to work towards gaining the qualification). You’ll also have GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English minimum grade C (4/5). You’ll have a clear understanding of in-house IT processes as well as a strong grasp of current IT developments and their importance in a business environment. You’ll need strong and effective communication skills and will have the ability to use your initiative as and when required. You’ll also need to work well as part of a team.
