EY235 IT EngineerLocation: North EastSalary: £22,000 + Car AllowanceOverviewFirst Military Recruitment are currently seeking an IT Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.To support the delivery of the Advocate+ Programme to an IT contract owner for the UK division of a worldwide brand.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties And Responsibilities
  • Conducting on-site visits to assess and resolve issues relating to their EPOS, and business systems. Including networks and back office servers. Taking photographic evidence of issues found and then compiling the information into reports. These reports are then distributed back to the site management, their head office, and the IT service provider.
  • From the generation of the reports we highlight what work we have carried out, and what may need to done by third parties and obtaining quotes for this work. This role will involve liaising directly with the customer to obtain authorisation for the quotes provided, and then instructing the work to be carried out.
  • As an advocate you sit on the confluence of the parties involved. The business owner/franchisee, The main customer brand, the service desk and IT contract owner, and the IT service provider. It is your job to mediate and manage the relationship between all parties to resolve IT issues.
  • Working in an ever-changing professional environment to tight deadlines, the creation and handling of customer reports and requests, and finding solutions to help make a difference to customers. The role operates a Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 working week, but may require occasional weekend work.
  • To keep abreast of changes to legislation and product development to ensure the highest standards are achieved at all times.
  • Keeping the customer service desk management informed at all times of the progress of the work.
  • Reporting to the relevant helpdesk, where necessary, in accordance with the escalation procedures of the relevant customer.
  • Accurately recording stock deployment to allow maintenance of up to date and accurate stock inventory records on behalf of the customer.
  • Completion of all relevant documentation to allow performance reports to be produced in a timely manner to monitor customer service.
  • Maintaining contact with the Project Services Team to allow real time logging and availability.
  • Returning and packaging of decommissioned equipment to the repair centre, with fully completed documentation, within a two day window, fully assembled and labelled.
  • Any other reasonable tasks as assigned by management.
