Job Description: IT Director (ITD)

Reporting to the CFO, the ITD will be in charge of the organisation’s information technology. Working closely with other leaders within the organisation to implementing & improve cross functional business processes and driving the company’s IT, Digital Development, Digital Tools and Business Systems strategy, to support the overall Business Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Full IT ownership, infrastructure, hardware, connectivity, Cyber Security
  • Own the full business system application landscape including the technical architecture
  • Strong experience in managing multiple integrations and middleware is key to our current application landscape
  • Own the management, maintenance and development of all systems including NetSuite ERP (backend), NetSuite SCA & Composable (E-commerce Front End) to meet the business requirements
  • Limit technical debt and own robust documentation of the platforms and various integrations
  • Manage our Master Data strategy, Compliance, Regulation and act as the DPO
  • Manage Data Analytics, Tracking, Cookie Management Products and business needs
  • Manage & provide Data & BI architecture & services to the business
  • Digital tools/ Martech platform management, procurement and lifecycle management
  • Direct and organise IT-related projects
  • Using technology to streamline business processes.
  • Liaising and collaborating with the suppliers of IT infrastructure solutions for the organisation
  • Ensuring that IT infrastructure supports the goals and requirements of the business, including financial targets – revenues, costs, EBITDA, cash
  • Building processes for data protection and quality assurance
  • Reviewing vendor proposals and making decisions based on things such as price, what they offer, and how the vendor product may fit into the organisation
  • Negotiating contracts with vendors and service providers for installing new technology and training employees on its use
  • Suggesting hardware and software upgrades as appropriate to improve operations, consistency and budgetary success
  • Managing all technology suppliers and contracts
Management
  • Recommend purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers
  • Managing all business systems strategy, implementation, and deployment, in line with the Business’ strategy and financial goals
  • Ensuring the company’s technological processes and service comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations
  • Coaching members of the IT teams, particularly IT leaders, so everyone stays on the same page across the company
  • Analyze the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions
  • Setting objectives and strategies for the IT department
  • Representing the company at conferences and networking events
Skills, Qualifications and Knowledge:
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Meaningful NetSuite ERP experience (essential)
  • A hands-on, “sleeves rolled up” approach, working closely with a small dedicated team
  • Ability to work closely and collaboratively with senior colleagues
  • A high standard of written and oral communication.
  • Highly developed analytical & critical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills & proven ability as a motivator.
  • A commitment to Customer Experience
  • Over 5 years’ experience in an IT leadership role
  • E-commerce & B2C business experience within the last 5 years
  • Have handled and worked with in-house or custom-built tech
  • Used to working with small teams and multiple key managed service partners
  • Demonstrable experience of managing SLA’s, SOW’s and controlling service hours/ cost consumption
  • Have previous experience as an IT technical professional in either a development or solution design capacity
  • Ideally experience with several of AWS, Next.JS, GCP
