Due to theglobal pandemic our team is currently working from home, so new staff can expect a warm ‘virtual’ welcome but will need to have the ability to build relationships whilst working from home. Although this has been a change to our usual way of working and has required some adaption to our approach, we’ve found it to be working successfully and applicants should be able to work from home and be comfortable in working in this way until we are able to return to the office.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our IT Services department as IT Change & Configuration Officer. As the IT Change & Configuration Officer, you will be responsible for the development, supervision, administration, and successful outcomes from the IT Change Management, Configuration processes, and their associated policies.

Ideally, you will have experience in IT Change processes for enterprise-level organisations, evaluating risks to service inherent in proposed implementations (including availability, performance, security, and compliance of the business services impacted). Managing the assessments, analysis, development, documentation, and implementation of changes based on requests for change. As part of this role, you will also be responsible for supporting with the initiation, planning, control, and implementation of change, supporting with the development of a change and improvement toolkit.

You will actively engage with Technical Architects, Infrastructure teams, and Project Managers to promote awareness and compliance with Change and Configuration Management quality plans and processes, mapping business processes and gathering data to measure process efficiency and effectiveness, and running and reporting on Key Performance Indicators.

A key aspect of the role is promoting both the collaboration with process owners and team members to generate solutions to problems, collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure that they outline the strategic, economic, commercial, management, and financial case for large-scale changes. Encouraging internal and external stakeholder relationships and assist with their engagement within the IT Change Management Processes, supporting with best practice sharing and coaching change and improvement methodologies, tools, and techniques.

As IT Change and Configuration Officer you will be well placed to aiding change within the organisation whilst minimising service disruption through adherence to Change process controls, improving the IT services that our healthcare customers rely upon.
