Role Overview

The IT Business Analyst, Sales Channel Integrations is responsible for executing the Sales Channel Integrations program of works within the whole organisation of Alliance Automotive Group UK. They are expected to have a complete understanding of the systems and business processes associated to supporting sales growth through nationwide and regional Key Account customers. They work directly with the customers and internal stakeholders to come up with initiatives or developments to contribute to improved sales volumes and process efficiency. They are involved in the full change life cycle, from analysing the opportunities to creating technical specifications to overseeing user acceptance testing and training.

The role reports to the IT Manager (Sales Channel Integrations) and is expected to produce project updates and status reports on a designated program of works. They are part of a maturing agile delivery team and must be able to demonstrate excellent adaptability and stakeholder management skills, whilst maintaining a sensible approach to problem solving and contributing to a challenging development roadmap. They work closely with the Delivery Manager to ensure solutions are delivered on time and to a high quality.

The Business Analyst, Sales Channel Integrations is the main IT representative for their designated program of works and is primary contact for support escalations and queries. Whilst the role is mostly office based, there may be occasions where the candidate will need to travel to meet a Customer to discuss their requirements if a virtual conference is not sufficient.

Skill Expectations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent knowledge of creating technical design requirements from their own analysis and discovery techniques

  • Proven understanding of system integrations via APIs (REST,SOAP) and EDI.

  • Experience of working with XML and JSON data formats.

  • API Testing using Swagger, Postman

  • Good knowledge of SQL

  • Proven experience of working as part of a team delivering software and/or business process change

  • Experience of stakeholder management, including external and internal influences

  • Good knowledge of the software life cycle from analysis to testing

  • Desire to be part of a maturing agile delivery team

  • Excellent personal management skills and proactive attitude
