Do you get a kick out of helping people?

If you enjoy variety in your job and a busy environment, becoming our new International Sales Operations Coordinator could be right up your street.

A key part of your role will be to manage orders from our retail customers across the world, and you’ll help by checking data such as stock availability and delivery dates, and working with colleagues in different departments, particularly Inventory Management and Customer Services, to help deliver the best possible service to our customers.

Along with managing the process of orders in SAP, working closely to deadlines and publication schedules, you will also produce reports in Excel and check customer claims.

You’ll work across all our publishing lists in this role – that means everything from fiction to non-fiction, by way of cookery, poetry and children’s – playing a key part in getting our stories into our customers’ hands. Tasks can vary from ensuring an order reaches Brazil in time for an event, to exploring supply options with our global PRH Group companies.

If this sounds like your kind of role, you’ll need to:

  • Be attentive to detail
  • Have strong personal organisation and time management skills
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have experience with Excel
  • Be a strong team player with an awareness for interpersonal sensitivity
  • Have previous experience working in an administrative role would be desirable

It would be nice if:

  • You’ve had experience within a publishing/book related/media environment
  • You have an awareness of Biblio or Business Object systems

You’ll be working with a lot of different systems, so while we’ll be happy to introduce you to our world and provide training, you’ll show us that you’re comfortable with technology and keen to learn. You will need to have worked with MS Office before – Excel skills would be particularly useful.

Finally, you’ll be working with customers as well as a range of colleagues in this role, so being good with people, friendly and helpful will mean that you’re able to go the extra mile.

If this sounds like the right role for you and your career, please apply with your CV and cover letter no later than 4th July.

In your cover letter, please answer the following questions:

  • Share with us why you wanted to apply for this role?
  • This position is definitely going to keep you busy! Please share an example of how you keep yourself organised and how you keep on top of multiple priorities.

Salary: You‘ll start on £24,000. Expect a £1,000 increase on your first anniversary in this role and a further £1,000 on your second to reflect your growing contribution.
