The successful candidate will be a graduate (or of graduate calibre), with a successful track record in international sales, driving business growth via distributors, dealers, end customers and (where appropriate) Sales Agents within the commercial interiors sector (flooring, lighting, wall coverings, suspended ceilings, raised floors or system furniture).

A highly energetic and highly motivated individual, with the confidence and creative selling skills to grow sales in overseas markets as the role develops in the context of our international business growth plan. This is a role for someone with real ambition and desire to advance their career and who will relish the size and scope of the challenge.

As an International Sales Manager, you will lead and manage export sales in your region and increase market share whilst analysing market trends, identifying and exploring new business opportunities. We will appoint a candidate who can demonstrate a real freshness of approach who is not afraid to break away from tried and trusted ways of working which have run their course. There are genuine career prospects for the right candidate, as the company has ambitious International expansion plans. We require a candidate that can match our ambition.

The key elements of the role are:

  • The identification, appointment, development and management of distributors, dealers, end customers and sales agents in the various international markets, primarily Middle East, some areas of Western and Eastern Europe plus other markets as required
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with customers and developing sales & marketing plans to set and achieve ambitious sales targets and sales growth.
  • The ability to drive sales across all customer types of both commodity products, as well as specification driven products.
  • Supporting customers, where appropriate, in joint promotional, including through specification activity within the A&D community and design consultants
  • A thorough understanding of the dynamics of international trade: terms of payment, terms of delivery, documentation requirements and the function of Incoterms
  • Strategic planning to identify new distributors/dealers for growth in new markets
  • An International commercial outlook and multicultural awareness.
  • Effective business planning for the sales region to include travel, time management and reporting
  • The desire and ability to travel as required.

The ability to speak additional languages would be advantageous.
