We are currently seeking an International Placements Coordinator to join our Careers and Employability team at the University of Brighton. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-orientated coordinator to contribute to the success of students’ overseas placements.

In this role you oversee the delivery of the Turing scheme, the UK’s global programme to provide funding for study and work abroad. You will be responsible for supporting students through the application process, keeping accurate records, following risk management procedures and ensuring funding payments are made in a timely manner. With strong IT and Microsoft Office skills, you will be confident using a variety of digital platforms, proactively developing administrative processes and maintaining large databases. You will also be expected to promote and market overseas opportunities to our students through group sessions and individual guidance.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with students, colleagues and external partners to promote and facilitate the scheme.
  • Experience of budget management and dealing with financial processes to meet various deadlines.
  • The ability to work in a team.

The role is based at our Moulsecoomb campus in Brighton and is eligible for the university’s agile working scheme; allowing a split between working on campus and working from home. We welcome applications from job sharers.

The post is offered at 22.5 hours a week on a fixed term basis until the end of August 2024 due to external funding restrictions.

Full details are available in the job description and person specification. This job is suitable for job sharers.
