The Internal Communications team sit at the heart of the business. We bring our strategy alive for our colleagues and make sure they’re kept informed, inspired and engaged at all times.

We’re looking for a savvy Internal Comms Specialist who is proactive, engaged and passionate about all things comms – with expertise at managing digital channels, a journalistic instinct for a story and an innate ability to produce compelling, contemporary content. We’re a fast moving team with loads of opportunity for a new team member to manage their own projects and make real time decisions that have significant impact on the employee experience.




Key accountabilities



  • Business partner with our HR and Legal & Regulatory executive leaders, to support their role in delivering the Colt strategy
  • Play a leading role driving and supporting the change management agenda for the HR and Legal teams. We need help to tell our people what’s coming, explain what’s changing and bring our people on the journey
  • Develop and execute a content plan that adds value and deepens colleagues’ understanding of our purpose and our strategic priorities.
  • Embed Colt’s values and culture into all your activities across the business to drive positive cultural change and to gain maximum buy in and employee engagement.
  • Liaise with the wider Internal Communications team to support their campaigns and projects
  • Lead on Colt-wide projects and campaigns
  • Understand Colt’s key messaging, tone of voice and apply this across all content created
  • Understand and report on various channel and content analytics


Role specific requirements



Skills & Experience

  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Previous internal communications experience working with HR leaders/ functions/ programmes preferable
  • Experience of change communications
  • Top-notch strategic and planning abilities - able to manage multiple plans and adapt to changing priorities and timelines quickly and easily

  • Excellent stakeholder management, at all levels
  • Ability to break down complicated and technical subjects into interesting and engaging communications
  • Strong networking skills, ability to build networks and generate content leads
  • A good understanding of social media and experience using an enterprise social media platform (Facebook Workplace or Yammer preferred)
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • A good eye for detail and accuracy
    Intranet management experience and knowledge of emerging channel trends and technology
  • Experience in working for a global organisation
  • Fluent in English – other languages very welcome!
