The Company

Job Duties & Responsibilities

The Group is on track to employ over 1,000 colleagues by the end of the year with further ambitious growth plans for the future and is looking for an Internal Communications Manager. You will be responsible for driving awareness and engagement of important company-wide information to the business. You will have visibility of all communications activity across the Company and develop and deliver the overarching communications plan comprising of simple, compelling, and inclusive communications to deliver in a sales and services environment. This role is responsible for putting people at the heart of our communication to ensure messages are seen and understood. You will work hard to objectively measure success and be collaborative.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Own and deliver the Internal Communications plan ensuring integration and alignment across the business strategy with an aim of delivering culture change.
  • Implement and design creative internal communications fostering a sense of transparency and openness that the organisation respects.
  • Design, create and manage a first-class intranet system, utilising the page as the key information point, conveying communications for business updates and acting as an engagement centre.
  • Design and deliver large-scale, highly visible campaigns tailored to meet the needs of the organisation across the different organisational areas.
  • Consult with the senior leadership team on communications plans, channels, and audiences, providing expert guidance and support, ensuring any creative design processes are managed well.
  • Build relationships with key people who are responsible for messages being defined and designed.
  • Remain close to the customer to assess the impact and relevance of all communication.
  • Support the senior leadership team with their communication of key messages to the business.

  • Proven experience of leveraging communication to drive behavioural and ultimately a culture shift.
  • Expert knowledge in online communication tools.
  • The ability to tell engaging and powerful stories through words and visuals, and an understanding of the creative design process.
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Experienced with organisation and project management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build strong relationships with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritise and deliver under pressure.

Essential

  • Strong attention to detail with focus on delivering work of the highest standard
  • Project management and excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to create content tailored to specific audiences
  • Ability to engage colleagues across a business areas and levels, and to communicate effectively at a senior level, gaining their respect
  • Experience with building a new intranet page
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to write well for different audiences, to a professional standard
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills with ability to communicate complex issues succinctly and accurately
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy or as part of a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
