We are looking for an experienced Internal Communications Manager to support our industrial services business on a 12-month maternity cover basis.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing an internal communications strategy that promotes our company’s values and strategic objectives. The role will also support the wider Marketing Department to increase pipeline growth through the successful planning and execution of targeted events and industry-specific marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an internal communications strategy that supports the company’s overall business objectives
  • Create and deliver engaging internal communications content, including newsletters, intranet articles, and employee communications to reach online and offline colleagues
  • Manage and maintain the company’s internal communications channels, including intranet and email, plus support with social media messaging to reach offline employees
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand their communication needs and develop plans to meet them
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications activities
  • Support the wider marketing department with marketing activations
  • Maintain the organisations event calendar, supporting with event planning

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in internal communications, ideally within an industrial services or related industry where a large percentage of employees are offline
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Experience with digital communications tools and technologies
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once

Note: Role is a 12-month maternity cover position beginning mid May 2023. The role is primarily based in Jarrow, Tyne & Wear, but we are open to discuss flexible working arrangements for the position.
