Dawsongroup plc is a national provider of commercial vehicle rental and contract hire solutions, operating from a network of strategically positioned depots across the UK.


We have an excellent opportunity for someone to join us and excel in an exciting career within internal auditing and health and safety procedures.

The role will see you assist the Group Audit Manager in the provision of a comprehensive operational audit service to the group, ensuring that the business systems in place are adequate for the purposes of recording and reporting transactions, assets and liabilities and for the purposes of safeguarding company assets. The Internal Auditor will therefore be required to work closely with each department, managing and guiding their development of appropriate, documented risk management systems and procedures.


This will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assist with the risks, preparation and delivery on all internal audits
  • Assist with the maintenance and development of operational policies and procedures
  • Ensure procedures are effective and fully implemented
  • Manage all the production and delivery of business branded stationary as requested, keeping a stock check at all times
  • Identify and develop new policies and procedure’s where necessary
  • Monitor and coordinate the responsibilities for the health and safety policies where necessary

To be successful you:

  • Must be confident with your written and oral skills to all levels of staff
  • Will be willing to travel and stay away at Dawsongroup locations
  • Be keen to obtain any training qualifications that will be required of you to be successful within your position
  • Will be a proactive team player with the initiative to investigate any issues or errors
