Interim Warehouse Shift Operations Managers

Location: West Yorkshire , Bradford - easy Commute M60, M62 Corridor

£42 – 45k

Recruitment drive for interim Senior Shift Warehouse Managers/Leaders to join this large growing manufacturing FMCG supply chain / 3pl warehousing and distribution site.

  • Rotating Shift pattern naturally, it is a 24/7 operation
  • Managing the key customer relationship on weekends – very important to
  • You will manage, organise, and control all activities across your shift. Through your team of Shift Team Leaders, you will manage warehouse operatives in automated pick, pack and distribution
  • You will be responsible for all warehouse KPI’s are met whilst ensuring that your shift and follow all Health & Safety guidelines.
  • You will have full line management responsibility, so experience of developing teams and managing productivity and performance would be a definite advantage.
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with external and internal stakeholders is key.
  • Leading a warehouse distribution shift team of up to 80, empowering them to develop and drive Key performance targets
  • You will achieve optimal service levels, ensuring a consistent approach to standards and behaviours
  • You will be VISIBLE on the shop floor, driving operational performance to deliver raw materials to meet the production plan , on time in full
  • Manage daily workload by successfully planning and delivery
  • Carry out Risk Assessments
  • Plan and manage the most efficient utilisation of the labour resources available to you
  • Own the training and development of all levels of team
  • Actively coach, develop, recruit and train team members to the required level of competence to encourage continuous improvement within the business
  • Performance Improvement using KPIs – Challenges and introduces new KPIs to drive performance.
  • Ensures team delivers agreed KPIs across the operation ensuring systems are in place to collect the necessary data to measure performance against the agreed KPIs
  • Resource Management – Plan, organise and measure labour requirements within the area to ensure that agreed targets are met
  • Assess working trends including increased volume, budgets, seasons, and training needs and adjust shift patterns and materials handling requirements to deliver a successful operation

Is this you?

  • Experience of leading and managing people within a FMCG environment
  • First line supervisory experience leading people and projects in a logistics environment
  • Experience of warehousing/ dispatch activity in a fast-moving warehousing, storage or manufacturing environment
  • Good organisational skills and be ability to manage resource
  • Leadership is key in this role! You will have the ability to inspire, motivate and empower others
  • You will also be able to resolve conflict and build effective relationships
  • 3PL/E-COMMERCE/RETAIL /FMCG/ Automated and semi-automated warehousing environments experience
  • Good leaders from manufacturing / production backgrounds will also be considered
