Rate: 600- 800 per day dependant on experienceIR35: OUTSIDE

Duration: 6-Months

Essential Skills: Proven track record of procurement project delivery; experience of public procurement practices & procedures; experience working with technical specialists to define project & equipment needs; experience or understanding of electronics lab equipment highly desirable

One of our engineering clients is looking to secure an Interim Programme Director / Procurement Manager to take ownership of a project to identify, procure and refurbish (if required) prospective buildings for electronics laboratories.

You will be working alongside third-party property consultants, internal finance & legal teams and the technical specialists in order to see these acquisitions through to full lifecycle.

As an Interim Programme Director, you will be responsible for:
  • Working with internal stakeholders to define facility requirements and subsequently identify appropriate properties with third-party consultants
  • Work with internal legal and finance teams to prepare and finalise contracts
  • Work with technical teams internally to understand and define the equipment needs for the labs
  • Deliver tender documents for equipment procurement in-line with public procurement guidelines and internal policies
  • Visiting prospective sites in Bristol and the North East as well as visiting technical team in Newport, Wales.
The successful C++ Engineer will need:
  • Proven track record of procurement project delivery
  • Experience of public procurement practices & procedures
  • Experience working with technical specialists to define project & equipment needs
  • Experience or understanding of electronics lab equipment highly desirable
