Interim Management Accountant

Based: Blackburn

Salary: circa £40k-£50k dependent on experience. Must be available immediately or at short notice

Our client is a leading business based in Blackburn. Turnover has doubled in the last 4 years and they are continuing to grow working on large-scale energy/construction projects throughout the UK to measure, manage and reduce energy consumption and cut carbon emissions. With generations of expertise they are market leaders in their industry, developing leading products and services that will support the governments net zero carbon project over the next few years

We are looking for a strong Accountant to join the business on a 3-6 month interim assignment

Role
  • Producing monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts alongside the FInancial Controller
  • Posting journals, accruals, prepayments
  • Reconciliations, variance analysis on overheads
  • Preparing budgets including variance reports to current financial year
  • Producing accrual and pre-payment schedules and manage general ledger balances
  • Liaising internally with department managers and senior stakeholders
  • Producing statutory VAT returns, ensuring HMRC submissions are correct
  • Producing balance sheet reconciliation monthly for all balance sheet accounts

Experience
  • CIMA/ACCA qualified OR QBE
  • Strong month end experience including accruals, prepayments, VAT returns and management accounts preparation
  • Immediately available or short notice
